The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Design-Build Expansion project was designed and constructed for the Department of Veterans Affairs for $4.5 million. The project included the design and construction of a new columbarium structure along with a new pre-placed crypt field. It should be noted that the project had an early turnover (ETO) requirement of May of 2017 due to the Cemetery's depletion of Columbarium Niche space. The project was protested by an unsuccessful offeror and the project was put on hold for three and a half months. Once the protest was dismissed, C&C fast-tracked design and utilized cold weather construction techniques as well as provided additional construction forces to meet original ETO requirements.
